BJYM Wokha holds a free seed distribution drive for farmers in Longsa village of Wokha district.

WOKHA — The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), Wokha, led by its President Shanchothung A Ezung, organised a free seed distribution drive at Longsa village on June 30.
According to the organisers, seed varieties including corn, peas, soybeans, and peanuts were distributed to the villagers. They informed that the seeds were carefully selected to suit the climatic conditions of Longsa, making them feasible for cultivation in the region.
Speaking at the programme, Ezung stated that while several government schemes and welfare initiatives are available, many rural residents remain unaware of them due to a lack of access to information.
He asserted that the youth wing aims to act as a bridge by creating awareness and ensuring that such benefits reach those in need. He also expressed appreciation to senior party leaders and workers for their guidance and support, adding that collective efforts can make a meaningful difference in people's lives.

The organisers conveyed gratitude to Chumbemo Jerret Patton, Political Attendant to the Advisor for Agriculture, for providing the seeds and acknowledged the support of Hachio Patton, PRO to the Deputy Chief Minister, for his contribution towards the successful conduct of the event.
They stated that the initiative was part of the youth wing's ongoing efforts to support farmers, encourage agricultural development, and strengthen outreach at the grassroots level.
