Dimapur, June 25 (EMN): Advisor for Power, H Tovihoto Ayemi, has urged the BJP workers to disseminate information on various welfare schemes of the government particularly to the downtrodden section to enable them to avail the schemes and elevate their living conditions.
He was addressing the BJP workers of Dimapur during the district executive meeting held at Rongmei Customary Court in Chungaizeng colony, Dimapur, on June 25. With the approaching state general election in 2023, Ayemi urged the party workers to join hands and work in unison.
Comparing the party’s status in Dimapur district between 2018 and 2022, he expressed gratitude to the mandals and morchas through whose efforts the party membership has increased manifold.
Citing on the various schemes introduced by the central government, Ayemi stated that those schemes have directly benefited the beneficiaries.
“We as the karyakartas of BJP have to be well-aware of the schemes provided by the central government and it is our duty to provide information to the citizens and reach out to them to avail the benefits,” he said. Stating that there are many ignorant citizens, he further urged the party workers to inform them about the schemes.
While acknowledging that Nagaland is a dependent state, Nagaland BJP secretary and in-charge of Dimapur district, Zaveyi Kezo, remarked that the state has to work together with the ruling government at the centre. He has appealed to the members to disseminate information on schemes implemented by the Modi government at the grassroots.
He has further sought coordination and cooperation among the workers and not let disunity come in between the workers.
Tokuho Suhoi Neho, president of BJP Dimapur district, has appreciated the contributions made by the district morcha and mandals, while Abhay Kumar Giri, general secretary and in-charge of Nagaland and Manipur, appeals to all the party members to work together at the booth level to ensure victory in the ensuing state election.
