Dimapur, Nov. 4 (EMN): A unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Nagaland stands by Temjen Imna Along Longkumer amid ‘various allegations’ and when“anti-BJP elements are trying to infest parasitic elements by creating propagandas of infighting within BJP members.” The unit, the Bharatiya Yuva Morcha (BJYM) for Dimapur district, issued a press release on Sunday.“Of late there has been various allegations appearing in the local dailies and circulated in the social media against BJP Nagaland President, Shri Temjen Imna Along Longkumer who is also the minister for Higher & Technical Education. Bharatiya Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Dimapur unit wishes to place on record our deep appreciation to the Shri Along who has been working tirelessly for the uplift of the society and particularly the colleges in Nagaland,’ the group asserted.
The BJYM stated that “anti-BJP elements” are trying to “infest parasitic elements by creating propagandas of infighting within BJP members and also unverified accusations that could lead to defamation cases of our leaders.” All the members of the party should “remain steadfast with the principles of the party and emphasize on common goal rather than individual goals,’ the note stated.Calling him “a very amiable man,” the unit said “Along or any other leader should not be drawn into doubtful controversies and malign his good image.”
The BJYM has appealed to people to render support to the party “as we firmly stand behind our president Shri Along in his endeavour to tirelessly work for the society.”
