Dimapur, Feb. 27 (EMN): The Nagaland unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party observed a programmed called ‘Kamal Jyoti’ in Kohima on February 26.
A press release from the unit on Wednesday stated that the Kamal Jyoti was an outreach programme for party workers, leaders and legislators to interact with central scheme beneficiaries, and to highlight various schemes.
“The programme is meant to re-ignite and initiate a dialogue with the beneficiaries and his neighbours on the various central schemes available for the welfare of every citizens in every part of the country and encourage their utilization while appealing the people to continue supporting the party for development,” the press release stated.
The state unit’s president Temjen Imna Along, the minister of Higher and Technical Education, spoke about various schemes.
“He emphasized the party’s efforts for the betterment of every people irrespective of tribes, communities and regions. He encouraged party workers to work hard with proper coordination to take the party to new heights. He dwelt upon several party matters and left a positive note among the party workers,” the BJP stated in the press release.
Beneficiaries of central scheme also “presented their accounts and their experiences,” besides offering suggestions for further improvements, the press release stated.
