BJP spells anti-corruption; targets youth for ‘Change’

Staff Reporter Dimapur, December 14 Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) National Executive Member Chindananda Singh hitting out at the UPA Government alleged that the Congress led UPA govt. which ruled for 9 years has devastated the country and demoralized the youth as well. Pointing at major scams like Coal, Adarsh, 2G Spectrum scams during the UPA rule, he said that along with the rule of the UPA Govt. in everyday newspaper there is never ending news on corruption in the country. “Scams after scams, scandals after scandals is what we see and read during the reign of the Congress” said Singh. He was addressing this to the party members at the one day BJYM state convention on election management held at the party office today at Dimapur. Emphasizing on the role of youth, he remarked that the role of youth is a big agenda and whatever India is and will be, is the responsible of the youth. Acknowledging the responsibility of the youth, he stated that youths of the country are not vote banks but instruments of changes. Unlike the Congress, Singh maintained that the party should not target youth as voters but changers. “With the reign of the Congress, there is economic slowdown and less job opportunities for the youth which give rise to educated unemployed youths in the country. The only youth Congress sees is Rahul Gandhi, representing the youth of the nation and forgetting the remaining country’s youth” lamented Singh. Remarking that the country talks only about ‘Unity’ and not ‘Unity in Diversity’, he said that unless we change the mindset country will not change. Calling upon the party members, he asked upon them to be prepared and take responsibility as a family, raise voice and unite all groups. “BJP is not for just one religion like the misconception people has towards the party. It is for the entire nation” maintained BJP National Executive Member K. Medom Angami. Upholding the objectives of the party, he urged upon the party workers to tale the thoughts and policies forward and unite in order to grow and move forward. BJYM North East Convener H. Bill Lotha addressing in Hindi acknowledged that no doubt independence was brought by the Congress sacrificing their lives but alleged that the present Congress was destroying the nation through various scams. Stressing importance on equality in the country where India has caste issues, he questioned on what the party can do for the country. With BJP’s ideology of ‘freedom of expression’ and party with difference he acknowledged and called upon party workers to make use of the social media to reach out to people at large. State BJP Vice President Er. Senkathung Jami also acknowledged that youths have to prepare their mind and unless they are active nothing can be done and will go unobserved. BJP State General Secretary James Vihoshe hiting our at the UPA govt. said the only thing UPA has done for the country is corruption. So he called upon the youth to be the backbone in the coming election and be the changer.The party deliberated to overthrow the congress from the power and empower youths of the country for development.
