Dimapur, August 29: BJP Mandal Pughoboto has taken strong exception to the alleged representation made by the NPF Central Youth Wing to the Commissioner and Secretary of Health & Family Welfare, dated June 6 and the subsequent reminding letter dated July 13 calling for termination of all appointments made without Government approval with effect from November 1, 2015, to April 30, 2016 in the Medical department. While appreciating the benevolent action taken by the NPF Central Youth Wing to curb the practice of backdoor appointment, which is a trend in almost all the government departments and which needed intervention from all section of the society, BJP Pughoboto unit was astonished as to why the present officials of the NPF Central Youth Wing had sought for termination of only those appointments made during November 1, 2015, to April 30, 2016.
In a joint statement, the unit president, Jevito Achumi, and the press secretary, Jevishe Assumi, have questioned if it was for their personal vested interest or due to some force behind them with ulterior motives, which compelled them to seek action only for a particular period of time and against one department.
It State that any organisations, while taking any steps to check corruption, should be done without biasness and partiality. It, however, said the action taken by the NPF Central Youth Wing had created much apprehension in the minds of the people as their target was ‘very specific.’
It, therefore, felt necessary that NPF Central Youth Wing should come out clearly and make known to the people, if they are applying the same yardstick in other government departments also so as to clear the doubts in the minds of the people. It further stated that if only certain sections of the people are victimised in the guise of justice, it would create more division and misunderstandings amongst the people.
