Dimapur, August 24 (EMN): BJP leaders and functionaries toured Chozuba and Pfutsero Assembly Constituencies in Phek district with Ananta Narayan Mishra, State BJP organising secretary, on August 21. The tour will culminate on August 22 after covering Chizami, Phek and Meluri assembly constituencies.
Speaking at Chetheba Town Hall under 18 Chozuba A/C, Mishra emphasised on strong and effective composition of the party organisation in order to motivate grassroot level join the party. He urged that party workers to remain active to facilitate formation of the party government in the coming State assembly elections in order to usher in development in Nagaland.
Vizopal Chaya, State BJP vice president and official in-charge of Phek district, exhorted party workers to relentlessly keep working hard and advised to remain strong.
Dr. V Thingo, State executive member, denied reports that BJP is not turning Christians into Hindu by 2020 and termed it as ‘completely false.’ He, however, said the party is building ‘New India’ by 2022 at the 75th anniversary of India’s independence. He said in the ‘New India,’ there will be no more poverty, no more communalism, no more casteism and no more corruption, adding there will be equality of people. He said special focus of development will be given to Nagaland.
Other leaders like Bandi, BJP spokesman, and Kewechutso Doulo, SEM, delivered short speeches. Pusai Rhakho, nandal president of 18 Chozuba A/C chaired the meeting.
Later in the afternoon, the team proceeded to 16 Pfutsero Assembly Constituency and held a meeting where Khupo Kezo, SEM, chaired the meeting at Tourist Lodge.
Short speeches were delivered by Vizopal Chaya, State BJP vice president, and Nucutso Ruho, president BJP Phek district. Mishra highlighted on organisational technicalities for the firm growth of the party and entrusted the mandal leaders to take up the works seriously.
Continuing with the state tour, Nagaland State BJP led by Ananta Narayan Mishra toured six mandals under Zunheboto district.
The tour kicked started on August 16 at 31 Akuluto AC and 32 Atoizu AC followed by 35 Zunheboto AC and 36 Satakha AC on August 17. The tour concluded on August 18 at 33 Suruhoto AC and 34 Aghunato AC.
In all the mandals, BJP officials held meetings by motivating the party workers to strengthen the party.
Er. (retired) CE Yezhekhu Sumi, in-charge of Atoizu mandal, highlighted on the various schemes introduced by the Prime Minister, while I Kheto Kini, in-charge of Satakha mandal, stressed on the need for change in the Naga society which can be delivered only by BJP in the government.
The district tour was led by the district president and other frontal office bearers.
