Dimapur, July 26 (EMN): The Nagaland State BJP unit, along with the rest of the country, observed the 19th Kargil Vijay Diwas at the graveyard of Lt. Captain Neikezhakuo Kenguruse of Nerhema village under Kohima District on July 26 and paid rich tribute and homage to the brave Naga soldier who gave his life in supreme sacrifice for the nation.
“19 years ago, back in the year 1999 July 28th, the brave Indian armies recaptured all the Indian posts that were occupied by the Pakistani Army, and gave a befitting reply to Pakistan by securing the Indian territories with their supreme sacrifice,” read a statement from Nagaland BJP unit. “Since then, the 26th July is observed as Vijay Diwas every year, to commemorate the supreme sacrifices made by the brave Indian Soldiers in the Kargil war,” it informed.
President of Nagaland BJP unit Temjen Imna Along led the homage and offered prayers of solace and peace for the brave soldier. He was accompanied by Ananta Narayan Mishra, friends and colleagues from the State BJP party, and Nagaland BJP Kohima District office bearers.
