The Nagaland State BJP Unit in compliance with the high command directive to organize Jan Kalyan Parv ( Peoples welfare festival from 26th may to 31st may) to commemorate NDA government’s completion of one year under Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has successfully been conducted in 8 (eight) districts in the State.According to a press statement from the party, mass contact campaign- Mahasampark Abhiyan was also conducted in all the 8 districts simultaneously. “Two teams were formed to cover the districts, one led by the State President Dr M Chuba Ao and the other by Gen Secretary & Spokesman KJames Vizo,” the party said. The final reports will be submitted to All India meeting for Mahasampark Abhiyan scheduled on 2nd June, 2015, it informed.
On May 30 last, the BJP Mon district organized a joint program of ‘Maha Sampark Abhiyan’ and ‘Jan Kalyan Parv’ at Mon town.
Speaking on the occasion, K James Vizo, State BJP general secretary-cum-spokesperson, told party workers not to believe in “cheap political propaganda” spread by rival political parties that BJP is a communal party. Vizo reiterated that BJP is the most secular political party in the country and the party’s constitution is a living proof of the BJP’s secular credentials.
He quoted the BJP national president, Amit Shah’s message to party workers “You are one among more than ten crore members who have decided to be a part of walk the talk of nation building” and urged the party workers of Mon district to remain steadfast despite temporary setbacks.
Vizo highlighted the achievements of Modi government in the past one year and also and informed on various welfare schemes and programs initiated by the NDA government including Jan Dhan, swachh abhiyan, Pahal and Beti Bachao.
The spokesperson urged the BJP Mon district party workers to spread about the various welfare schemes of the government to each and every village in Mon district. Further, Vizo also called upon party workers to start working actively and prepare for the 2018 assembly elections to ensure a BJP government in the state by 2018.
State executive member, Nagaland BJP, Chumbemo Ezung, also attended the launching program. BJP Mon district president Phongwang Konyak, senior BJP leader Khonwang Konyak and mandal presidents of all nine assembly constituencies in Mon district also spoke on the occasion.
