
Dimapur, Oct. 7 (EMN): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of 27th Mokokchung town Mandal held its executive meeting at its treasurer's residence at Aongza ward in Mokokchung on Wednesday.
Speaking at the programme, the morcha vice president Nukshi I Ozukum said that 27th Mokokchung town constituency is one of the most important constituencies in the state. He also said that the BJP would be fielding capable and winning candidates in all the mandals in the forthcoming assembly election. He, therefore, urged the party workers to work diligently for the overall peace, development of the whole Mokokchung district and the state, an update stated.
The president of Scheduled Tribe Morcha, Oyimpong Longchar, challenged the party workers to be more dedicated in their works to make the party’s policies and programmes reach out to the people in every corner of the constituency.
He also listed out the different welfare programmes being implemented by the BJP-led NDA government in the Centre. He informed about the latest programme of distributing table lamps to the needy people through the ST Morcha. He said that the morcha is one of the most important wings in the BJP organisation when it comes to Nagaland state since all the Nagas are by default scheduled tribes. He further encouraged the gathering to join hands with the prime minister in availing different schemes to come at par with the rest of the world.
Longchar also asked the gathering to submit the names of the needy people, which will be scrutinised by the ST Morcha, BJP Mokokchung.
Speeches were also delivered by BJP state council member Bendangmeren, former president of BJP Mokokchung and party worker Limawati.
