Opposition Bharatya Janata Party (BJP) takes a jibe at the Congress government in Mizoram saying the latter despite of its promise before the last assembly election, 2013 to continue with New Land Use Policy (NLUP) disbursement process which it used as the party vote banks, is delaying the process which severely depressed the down trodden and the poor.
The BJP in its press release said that even before the general election the Congress had claimed of having brought a change in the life-style of the poor farmers by implementing NLUP “but instead of working out for speedy disbursement the state government is playing a Fabian policy with an excuse of insufficient fund.”“The regular discussion and meeting over NLUP due to an excuse of insufficient fund is not just right and we asked the state government to immediately begin NLUP disbursement to the poor to whom it promised to let them stand on new height”, BJP appeals the government.
The BJP said that even before the lapse of one month after the fall of Congress at the Centre, the state Congress government has started facing financial crisis.
The BJP further alleged that the NLUP scheme is mismanaged. It wonders as to how many people will be able to benefit from the NLUP assistance. “Due to its incompetency, the Congress government of Mizoram may blame NDA government for its inability to disburse NLUP in the future”, BJP said.
