Dimapur, May 21 (EMN): In a run-up to the ensuing Lok Sabha by-election, the state BJP has convened an emergency meeting comprising of all the five state frontal morchas at Hotel Accacia in Dimapur on May 21.
A press release from the BJP media cell informed that the state deputy chief minister and leader of BLP, Y Patton, had conveyed the message of the national BJP president Amit Shah. It stated that Amit Shah had specifically instructed all those constituencies from where BJP candidates won should give majority support to the PDA alliance consensus candidate, Tokheho Yepthomi. Shah also said that it should be the responsibility of every BJP MLAs and party workers to mobilise the voters and fulfil wishes and directives of the central leaders.
Also speaking on the occasion, state medical minister, S Pangyu Phom has encouraged the party workers to abide by the decision of the PDA alliance and ensure the victory of its consensus candidate in the ensuing by-election.
The updates added that minister of PHED and Dimapur district BJP minister in-charge for Lok Sabha election had asked the party workers irrespective of state, districts, mandals, and various morchas residing in the district to cohesively come together and work for the victory of its candidate.
