- DIMAPUR — Minister
for PHED & Cooperation, Jacob Zhimomi, on Saturday said that 11 years of
BJP-led government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi reflects the sweeping
changes in the social strata harmonising with the BJP manifesto.
- The minister was addressing a press conference to highlight
the achievements and transformational policies of the central government since
2014-cum- exhibition and professional meet here at Hotel Grand Vista.

- The press conference highlighted the nationwide campaign celebrating
11 years of BJP-led government under PM Modi's leadership, themed ‘Viksit
Bharat Ka Amrit Kaal’ and ‘Seva, Garib Kalyan Ke 11 Saal.’
- Zhimomi underscored the BJP government's notable
achievements, including lifting over 270 million people out of poverty through
targeted governance and schemes like Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
- He credited the socio-economic changes to the synergistic
efforts of the central and state governments’ transformative policies.

- The Modi government has been responsible, accountable, and
responsive on all fronts while the style of implementation and delegation has
been transparent, Zhimomi asserted.
- According to him, the BJP government's 11-year tenure has
been a successful journey with significant impact, highlighting India's growing
global stature and cementing its position as the world’s most vibrant
democracy.
- He emphasised that service, good governance, and welfare of
the poor – exemplified by initiatives like Ayushman Bharat in healthcare – have
been the hallmark of this government.
- Further, the minister lauded Modi government's visionary
policies and effective implementation, highlighting initiatives like women
empowerment, NEP 2020-driven education reforms, and self-reliance, urging
citizens to join the journey towards ‘Viksit Bharat 2047.’
- Advisor for Tribal Affairs and Election, Tovihoto Ayemi, in
his speech, also lauded Modi government for making India a symbol of inclusive
development and transformative governance.
- “Summarising the last 11 years in a single sitting is a
challenge. But we all can witness the transformation with the adoption of
advanced technologies and citizen-centric governance. India is now progressing
alongside the rest of the world,” Ayemi remarked.
- He mentioned that last Tuesday, they had a meeting with the
government officials and bureaucrats focussed on ‘Viksit Nagaland for Viksit
Bharat 2047,’ where officials were tasked with developing a roadmap for state
and national progress.
- He also maintained that while not all states are governed by
the BJP, those states that are under BJP government and states in alliance with
the BJP have witnessed progress.
- “The poor are now at the centre of policymaking, not just
statistics,” he said and mentioned that the Ayushman Bharat with 55 crore
beneficiaries is “the world’s largest health insurance scheme.”
- State BJP President Benjamin Yepthomi disclosed that the BJP
has 2.60 lakh primary members and around 5000 active members in the state.
- Reiterating the party's inclusive spirit, he said, “BJP is
the largest political organisation in the world. We have space for everyone.”
- Yepthomi also announced that the party's newly appointed
state office bearers for 2025-2028, were appointed after thorough consultations
with central leadership and approved by BJP National President JP Nadda.
