Dimapur, April 3 (EMN): A three-day campaign for PDA consensus candidate for the ensuing Lok Sabha election got underway in 37 Tuyi assembly constituency under Wokha district on April 3.
A press release from the Deputy Chief Minister’s media cell stated that the campaign is being led by senior personal secretary to the Deputy Chief Minister, Hachio Patton, along with the state, district, and unit BJP party workers.
On day-one, the campaign covered Englan Range. On day-two, the campaign would cover Nyiro Range, while on day-three it planned to cover Chukitong range on April 5.
Addressing the campaign in Yanthamo, Hachio Patton expressed confidence that the deputy chief minister’s constituency would get a thumbing majority in favour of PDA consensus candidate, Tokeho Yepthomi. He was also positive that the PDA consensus candidate would the lone Lok Sabha seat by a landslide victory.
He urged the people of state and particularly to the voters of 37th Tuyi AC to vote in favour of Tokeho for more development and for settlement of long standing Naga political issues.
Hachio Patton stated that the minority voters in the country particularly the Christian voters in the state are misled and misguided by the opposition parties by terming BJP as anti-Christian. He clarified that BJP, unlike other political parties, has nothing to do with religion adding the party is secular and functioning according to the Constitution of India.
