Nagaland State BJP Unit led by its president Dr M.Chuba Ao, Dr TM Lotha MLA & Advisor representing the BJP legislators and party delegation met the interlocutor R.N Ravi on December 8 at Kohima and had a cordial deliberation on Indo-Naga peace talks.
While appreciating the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for initiating the Peace Accord, the party acknowledged the interlocutor for his sincere efforts to take all the stakeholders on the board for talks.
State BJP General Secretary and Spokesman K.James Vizo in a statement said, as a national political party, the State unit is all out for lasting solution and peace in the State and that it is ready to render service for the cause as and when its participation is sought /required.
“Many questions raised by the party delegation were also clarified by the interlocutor. The party was informed that keeping in mind the principle foundation of equality and mutual respect, the problem has to be resolved.”The party delegation expressed its view to interlocutor that as two parties are in the process of peace talk, one party should not be kept in the dark as in the past keeping in mind mutual respect and confidence of each other.
“They should be more open in order to arrive at a stable and peaceful solution in the region. Besides this, other issues were also deliberated and the party appealed that it is also conveyed to the Prime Minister Modi.”
