Diphu May 5 (EMN):
In protest against the post poll violence being committed by Trinamol Congress Party workers on the BJP activists and supporters and on several other political party workers in West Bengal, BJP activists staged a mass demonstration near the Karbi Anglong district BJP committee office at Diphu-Manja road here on Wednesday.

The party executives have submitted a memorandum to the President of India seeking his action considering the seriousness of the issue. It is pertinent to mention here that a large number of BJP workers, innocent citizens, activists of other political parties have been killed till now, which started on May 2. Thousands of riot affected people have fled from West Bengal and have taken refuge in bordering districts of Assam.

The protest programme was also attended by Dhonsing Teron, district BJP president, district vice president Ajit Kumar Dey, member of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council Dilip Ronghang, secretary of district BJP committee Madhuram Lekthe and several leaders.
