Biren says Modi will come back as PM

Our Correspondent Imphal, March 24 (PTI): Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Sunday claimed that the NDA government will return to power at the Centre and Narendra Modi will come again as the next Prime Minister of India. Addressing the launching programme of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) election campaign for the 17th Lok Sabha polls, he claimed that the people are with the BJP and it would be “impossible” to defeat the BJP in the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls. The campaign kicked-off by offering a prayer at Shrine of Lainingthou Sanamahi, an important Meitei deities, here in the outskirt of Imphal. Speaking to reporters, BJP spokesperson Navin Kohli said that BJP will fight the upcoming elections on a positive agenda to win both the Lok Sabha seats in Manipur and take part in strengthening the central leadership to continue the government. Two BJP candidates Dr. RK Ranjan and H Shokhopao alias Benjamin Mate will contest from inner and outer Manipur parliamentary constituencies. Election for the outer Manipur Lok Sabha seat will be held on April 11 while that for Inner Manipur seat will be on April 18.
