Henok Buchem flagging off the bike rally in Kohima on Saturday.
- KOHIMA — A bike
rally to raise awareness about wearing safety gear was held on Saturday,
starting from Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC) Hall, Secretariat
Kohima, to Kisama Heritage Village, with more than 60 bikers participating.
- The rally was organised by Taho in partnership with Vega
Auto Accessories Private Limited (Vega and Axor).
- Kevi Tsükrü, proprietor of Taho, said the rally aimed to
raise awareness about the importance of wearing safety gear while riding a
two-wheeler, noting the increase in the number of two-wheelers on the road and
the widespread ignorance of wearing safety gear.
- He hoped the rally would bring positive awareness and
highlight the importance of wearing a certified helmet among riders in
Nagaland.

- Deputy Commissioner of Kohima, B Henok Buchem, before
flagging off the rally, said that riding a bike is thrilling and moving
together in a group encourages people. He advised all participants to ride
safely. He also appreciated the objective and intention of the rally, stating
that one needs to use the right quality of helmet and safety gear.

Pvt. Ltd., said the main motive of the rally was not only to ride a bike but to
promote road safety and awareness, as well as to ensure that riders are wearing
helmets. He also advised the riders to follow traffic safety rules while
riding.
