Dimapur, Sep. 24: The Bihari Cricket Premier League (BCPL) got underway at the Ram Janeki Higher Secondary School ground in Dimapur on Tuesday, September 24. The tournament is organised by Nagaland Bihari Samaj in memory of late Shankar Prasad Sharma.
Attending the tournament, Advisor, Ministry of Power, Tovihoto Ayemi expressed gratitude to the organiser and said that it was an excellent initiative, giving youngsters an opportunity to showcase their talent.
Ayemi also shared happiness in the fact that over the years, the contribution by the Samaj is overwhelming and amazing and stated "I want contribution and unity among the Samaj to continue"
16 teams participating in the tournament are scheduled for 24 league matches and the final match will be played on October 2.
