Dimapur, June 30 (EMN):As you step in, you will be greeted by a speech synthesis: welcome to Big Bazaar Dimapur. Big Bazaar promises to have something for everyone at a low price for almost any kind of goods .
Big Bazaar, one of the leading hypermarket chains in India managed by Future Group has finally made its way into the commercial hub of Nagaland in Dimapur. The retail outlet was inaugurated on Sat. June 30 at Nagi House, Circular Road in Dimapur by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio in the presence of hundreds of eager shoppers waiting to experience the new way of shopping at the Big Bazaar.
For the sake of readers’ convenience: one can get western women’s wear on the ground floor, men and women’s ethnic wear on the first floor; kids wear, toys and other accessories on the second floor; merchandise and kitchen stuff on the third floor; and ready to cook items, refrigerated items, staples, and bakery products on the fourth floor. And the easy to access cash counters— on every floors!
After formally inaugurating the enterprise, Rio expressed appreciation to the Future Group for launching the Big Bazaar in Dimapur while adding that the Future Group possessed a big heart like that of their chain name Big Bazaar. The chief minister stated that the Big Bazaar operates with the motto ‘more for less’ and expressed hope that the outlet will serve everyone including the poor which would be a blessing for the people of Nagaland. Rio expressed great confidence that people from neighbouring states will make its way to Dimapur to shop at the Big Bazaar.
Saying that the opening of the mega store has opened employment opportunities for the Naga youths, Rio mentioned that 100 workers are employed at the outlet of which 70 % are Nagas. The chief minister disclosed that the enterprise still requires 50 employees and therefore, asked the Nagas to make use of the opportunity. The chief minister further expressed belief that with the opening of ‘Big Bazaar’, other companies too will follow suit in the future.
Besides, while congratulating the property owner Nibu Nagi, the chief minister, on a lighter note, said that Nagi was known as the Naga Marwari. “In India Marwari people are known for having the best business minds,” Rio said while adding, “That Nagi is known as a Marwari sounds good to me.”
Stating that Nagi embodied a perfect businessman, the chief minister urged the entire business persons in Nagaland to maintain integrity, honesty, and consistency to become a successful business person. “If someone trusts you, one day you will become someone great,” Rio declared.
Manish Agarwal, the CEO of Fashion at Big Bazaar spoke on behalf of the Future Group and asserted that at Big Bazaar customers will get good products at the great prices. Agarwal maintained that the Big Bazaar was opened for everyone and that every housewife, kid, family and others can come to the mega store and enjoy the services. “This Big Bazaar will really serve for the people of Nagaland,” the CEO mentioned.
