Achumbemo Kikon presiding over the monthly Bhandari SDPDB
coordination meeting in Bhandari town on January 7.
- DIMAPUR — The
Bhandari Sub-Divisional Planning and Development Board (SDPDB) in Wokha
district has decided to adopt Champang as inspirational area for the year
2025-2026.
- This was decided during the monthly SDPDB meeting held at GA
rest house on January 7 under the chairmanship of MLA and chairman of SDPDB,
Achumbemo Kikon. In this regard, the ADC and vice chairman of SDPDB, Longasen
Lotha, has requested the concerned departments to accompany the civil
administration during inspection tour to villages and inspirational village
next week.
- A DIPR report stated that the ADC delivered the welcome
address and also introduced the newly posted officers in Bhandari sub-division
and the two government nominees of Bhandari Town Council.
- In his short address, Achumbemo Kikon urged the members to
rededicate themselves in their assigned duties and responsibilities for the
betterment and development of the society.
- It stated that members have discussed on the proposal for
construction of sub-divisional office complex in Bhandari as the landowners
have agreed to give required land to the government as per the prescribed rate.
It was decided that legal agreement would be made after the selection of
suitable land by the government.
- The members also deliberated on the proposal made by SDEO
Bhandari for revocation of the government’s order to downgrade GMS to GPS in
Yampha. It stated that the house agreed and forwarded the proposal to the
higher authority.
- Meanwhile, the SDO (Electrical), Sanis, highlighted the house
on the activities and initiatives taken by the department under the
sub-division. Other departments also highlighted their activities in the
meeting.
