Dimapur, June 3 (EMN): The Beti Bachao Beti Padhao- state task force meeting was held at the chief secretary’s conference hall on June 1.
OT Chingmak gave a brief introduction to the BBBP Scheme while R Juliana Medom, asst. state coordinator of SRCW presented on district and state level activities of BBBP.
Dr. Sao Tunyi, epidemiologist of Health & Family Welfare department gave the presentation on the joint survey conducted at Longleng from November 21 to 23rd 2016 by the department of Medical, Social Welfare and Economics & Statistics on the issue of low child sex ratio (CSR) in the district of Longleng.
Chairperson NSSWB Bano Vinito, presented the BBBP-Ambassador for Girl Child badges to the chief secretary who is the brand ambassador and also the commissioner-secretary of Social Welfare department.
The chief secretary reiterated his commitment of financial support towards the BBBP- ambassador for girl child.
He appreciated the commitment of the State Resourec Centre for Women staffs for doing a commendable job.
He also assured his support and availability towards the activities of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao.
