The BCCI will be conducting special coaching camps for northeast states at Shillong and Dimapur for under-19 and under-16 cricketers respectively, under the aegis of the National Cricket Academy. In this regard, the Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA) has asked all district associations to send their selected players for trials.
Selection trials will be held at Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Dimapur on 5th May, 2016 and the selected players are expected to attend the BCCI camp till 31st May, 2016, the NCA has informed. Interested players have been asked to bring authentic proof of birth certificates, matric ddmit card, three passport size photographs and a forwarding letter from their respective district cricket associations. “All cricketers are expected to bring their own cricket gear and apparels. It is to be noted that despite birth certificates, all probables will undergo medical tests and x-ray bone examination to authenticate accurate age as per BCCI norms. As per BCCI norms, all under-16 players are to be born after 01-09-2000 and under-19 cricketers after 01-09-1997. Players registered with the BCCI are also expected to attend the selection trails. The Nagaland Cricket Association will sanction journey expenditure and daily allowance for the selection trials.”
