Dimapur, July 12 (EMN): Since its debut on July 2, Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) has continued to go from strength to strength. According to an official statement by Krafton, the revamped Indian version of PUBG Mobile has garnered more than 34 million registered players in just one week since its launch on the Google Play Store.

Krafton claims that the game gets 16 million daily active users and 2.4 million peak concurrent users which has helped the battle royale game to the top of the charts for ‘Top free games’ category on the Google Play Store.

"We would like to thank our users in India for their support. We are committed to bringing new and more entertaining contents to Battlegrounds Mobile India to bring greater joy to our fans and players," said Wooyol Lim, Head of Battlegrounds Mobile Division at Krafton.

"Krafton hopes to grow and further develop together with India's video gaming and esports industry," he said in a statement.

The game is now available for download as a free-to-play multiplayer game on Google Play Store with an amazing array of maps, game modes and exciting launch week challenges.

BGMI players will also soon receive a July update that includes additions such as the new MG3 weapon, a new ranking season and new game mechanics.
