Defending champions Bluestar Cricket Club from Dimapur remained unbeaten to book their quarter-final berth along with Bashers CC and Sparks CC also from Dimapur in the 6th Silver Cup T20 Cricket Tournament organized by Youth Department of Nepali Baptist Church Kohima at Local Ground (Khouciezhie).
Playing the last match of the day, defending champions Bluestar knocked Nemesis by 34 runs. Taking the bat first, they set a tally of 161 runs losing 7 wickets in 20 overs with Michael scoring highest 45 runs followed by Imliwati and Rahul 29 runs each. Chasing the target Nemesis managed to score 126 runs losing 6 wickets in 20 overs. Sedezalie scored highest 54 runs. Michael of Blue Star was adjudged man of the match for his 45 runs and claiming two rival wickets. Earlier in the first match, Bashers CC defeated Missionshires by 7 wickers. Missionshires elected to bat having won the toss and set a target of 156 runs losing all wickets in 19.2 overs with Kibeuding contributing highest 68 runs. Bashers bowler Suresh claimed 3 rival wickets and Vino took 2 wickets. Chasing the target Bashers achieved it in 18.4 overs with Arun scoring 42 runs, Wabang 35 and Arjun 31 runs. Kibeuding pf Missionshires was adjudged man of the match.
Former runners-up Sparks CC won against The Voltage by 5 wickets in the second match. Taking the bat first, Voltage scored 92 runs in 18.4 overs for 10 wickets. Rokuo and Moarenba contributed highest 26 and 23 runs. Sparks CC bowler Along and Nagaho claimed three rival wickets each while they managed to reach the target in 13 overs losing 5 wickets with Aosashi and Shanawaz scoring 21 runs each. Nagaho of Sparks CC was adjudhed the man of the match for claiming 3 rival wickets. Voltage bowler Tsuknung claimed two rival.
