Dimapur, March 10(EMN): Simply ‘Bangkok Café and Cuisine,’ a new gourmet establishment promising, well, Bangkok cuisine, was inaugurated on March 10 at the CBZZ complex, at 5th mile, near the Green Park in Dimapur.
The restaurant is run by a young couple from Thailand.
The restaurant promises a complete package of entertainment for guests: it has a rooftop bar, karaoke and a restaurant ready to serve Thai food to food lovers. By keeping two chefs from Thailand no less, the owners believe in detail when serving customers.
Some of the restaurant’s specialty includes three courses on the menu which are Spring rolls as snack, Tomyum –a Thai soup–and Pad Thai prawn which is fried noodles. According to the proprietor of the restaurant, Kantikarn Intasorn, the three foods are widely known around the world too.
During interactions, Kantikarn Intasorn told Eastern Mirror that they have other businesses back in Thailand such as the KC coffee restaurant, besides tour companies, event organisers and lighting decoration businesses and designs, and equipments for hire.
The owners are excited and positive to have chosen Dimapur to open their restaurant as they said the people here are quite friendly and that the city was ‘the gateway of India, Burma and Thailand.’ The proprietor believes that the Naga people have similar tastes in foods that encompass the sweet, sour and the spicy.
The proprietors are expecting more people from Thailand to come in the future. Interestingly it was learned that they had already been here from five years ago–they opened a wedding gown shop called Wings of Love at Supermarket.
