Dimapur, Nov. 14 (EMN): The ban on fish has been relaxed in Mokokchung. However, testing will continue, the DIPR stated in a news update on Wednesday.
The deputy commissioner of Mokokchung Sachin Jaiswal issued notifications relaxing the sale of fish and fish products, import of fresh fish and other fish products into Mokokchung district from outside the state, with immediate effect.
Imported consignments of fish shall be first sent to Kohima for laboratory testing however, before sale in the market, it was informed. Further, sample testing will be carried out regularly.
