Nagaland Bamboo Development Agency (NBDA) has announced to organise the ‘Hornbill Bamboo Carnival’ on the theme “Bamboo, Art, Food & Music” from December 4 to 6 at the Nagaland Bamboo Resource Centre, 6th Mile, Sovima village.
The three-day event would feature sales and exhibition of bamboo products along with food courts, live music and other activities for family and children. Other participating states would include Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and Assam.
Naiba Konyak, Advisor of NBDA & NEPED, would grace the inaugural programme on December 4 at 12 noon. A host of other dignitaries are also expected to attend the programme.
According to Team Member of NBDA and Convenor, Dr. Tolto Metha, attraction for the Carnival would be the music concert every evening at 4 PM besides the attractive stalls selling bamboo products and the food courts. This year’s edition would see some of the most accomplished musicians taking the stage along with other promising talents. They included Abiogenesis, Incipit, Maria Cherednikova, Divas Unleashed, Patkai Voice Ensemble, The Last Glance 4x, Gold Planet, Search and Found, Loyal ‘d’, Ur-fm, Hibo Chishi (finalist of voice of Nagaland), Kallol Kirity Singha, Asito, Vila Keditsu, Big Dane, Dance crews and more.
Nagaland Bamboo Development Agency extended warm invitation to all students, well wishers, tourists and the general public to the inaugural programme and all other remaining events of the Carnival.
