BAC finalised programme for NLA session

Dimapur, July 26 (EMN): The Business Advisory Committee (BAC) has finalised the provisional programme for the ensuing fourth session of the 13th Assembly scheduled on August 6 and 8. The programme was finalised during the meeting of Business Advisory Committee held on July 25 at 11 am in the Assembly Committee Room under the Chairmanship of Vikho-o-Yhoshu, NLA Speaker. During the session, the following business would be taken up including (i) Obituary references, (ii) Questions, (iii) Election of Deputy Speaker, (iv) Laying of annual administrative reports, (v) Introduction of government bills (if any), (vi) Consideration and passing of government bills (if any), (vii) Introduction of government resolution (if any), (viii) Laying of reports/ rules, (ix) Presentation of assembly committee reports, (x) Adoption of government resolution (if any), (xi) Discussion on matters of public importance (if any), (xii) Unfinished business (if any), and (xiii) Adjournment of the session sine-die. Election for NLA Deputy Speaker Speaker of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) has fixed August 6 for holding the election of the Deputy Speaker by the members. In a notification, NLA secretary, K Sekhose stated that date of filling nomination papers will begin with immediate effect till 3 pm on August 1. He also fixed August 3 for withdrawal of nomination from 12 noon to 3 pm.
