Dimapur, May 29 (EMN): The Chakhesang Cultural Organisation (CCO) held its general session on May 27 at Tourist Lodge, Near NAP Camp Pfutsero with Deputy Chairman of State Planning Board, Kuzholuzo Neinu as chief guest.
Addressing the gathering, the chief guest said that the Chakhesangs are known for their honesty, dedication and hard work. He however regretted that the younger generations are forgetting the traditions and cultures and therefore urged the people to preserve the rich cultural heritage, traditions and values. He added that there is still room for improvement and advised the people to work hard to strengthen their culture. Azo lauded the CCO office bearers for their commendable works and encouraged them to continue with the same spirit and take the society forward. He further called on the community to change for a better tomorrow and lead an example of a God fearing Christian.
The programme was chaired by Kedoutsolhi Wetsah while Rev. Zupelhi Mero and pastor of PTBC, Rev. Dr. N. Chiero pronounced the Invocation prayer and benediction respectively.
