Dimapur, May 11 (EMN): Angami Youth Organisation (AYO) has announced to organise a one-day discourse on demographic threats and economic sustainability vis-a-vis unemployment and self-employment on May 18 at AMK Building, Kohima, to be hosted by the Angamimiapfii Mechii Krotho.
The event is being organised to address the pressing issues and challenges of random influx of illegal immigrants and the threats posing to the society.
“It is pertinent to take measures beyond blame by taking responsibility for our future and posterity. In addition, one of the major concern includes the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) which is likely to have a huge impact,” state AYO vice president, Khisanol Viswentso, in a press release.
He stated that there are serious questions on how the people are prepared to face it if it is blatantly imposed.
He added that the lecture on the one-day discourse would be delivered by Savi Liegise, social worker, and Richard Belho, entrepreneur and chairman of Zynorique.
Representatives from every Angami frontal organisations, ranges and villages are asked to attend the programme.
