DIMAPUR — The Angami Youth Organisation (AYO)
has reiterated the 'One government, one tax' resolution adopted by the Angami
Public Organisation in 1993, and cautioned the various Naga political groups
against harassing, imposing tax, and extorting any Angami business
establishment or individual in particular, and within the Angami jurisdiction
in general.
- In a press release, the AYO mentioned that with the onset of
festive season, harassment and extortion from workers of various Naga political
groups would significantly increase.
- The youth organisation urged the Ceasefire Monitoring
Group/Ceasefire Supervisory Board and its agencies to be more vigorous in
performing their duties and responsibilities, in order to ensure safety and
security of the business community and the public.
- The AYO informed that it would remain vigilant about the
activities of anti-social elements. It warned that defaulters would be dealt
with befittingly.
