Dimapur, Nov. 11 (EMN): In reiteration of the Angami Youth Organisation (AYO) presidential council resolution adopted on Sep. 30 this year, with regard to environment protection and the Aug. 7, 2010 AYO Presidential Council resolution adopted at Ura Academy Kohima, the organisation has once again reminded the public. In a press note from AYO President Neinguvotuo Krose and Environment Secretary Mhiesirieto Punyü, stated that in addition to the earlier resolutions, certain conditions are added which shall be implemented effective immediately.The resolutions issued by the AYO are as under:1. It is our commitment to preserve and protect our bio diversity.2. Jungle burning is strictly prohibited.3. Total blanket banned and usage of air gun shall be banned and sale of pellets are totally discouraged.4. Stone crushers, quarries, car wash and vehicle repair workshop are advised to maintain maximum distance from the main highway and roads.5. Relaxation of hunting period is strictly a prerogative of the concern village and youth organizations in the event of any life threatening and livelihood matters.6. Defaulters shall be sternly panelised and penalisation shall be effected by the concern unit/range youth organisations.7. The resolution shall be implemented in every Angami area/jurisdiction.
