EMN DIMAPUR, APRIL 26 The Angami Youth Organization (AYO) has “sanctioned non-cooperation” against the NSCN (K) following the “firing incident on April 25 in Kohima.” A press statement from the AYO stated that the non-cooperation was in “reference to the standing order of the Angami Public Organization (APO)” while pointing out that the NSCN-K had resorted to “firing in civilian populated area and thereby disturbing the peaceful atmosphere in Kohima town and creating feat psychosis in the mind of the general public.” The AYO has asked the public “to desist from any kind of contribution or donation to the NSCN (K) in Angami jurisdiction.” It urged the public to report any demand notes or taxation from the NSCN-K to the AYO office. “Further, the citizens are to refrain from extending patronage in any form to the group. For any future provocative action disturbing the peaceful atmosphere/confronting the security of the citizens, the Organization shall be compelled to initiate its own course of action,” it added. It can be mentioned that after the NSCN-K has announced to abrogate the ceasefire with government of India there have been numerous incidents of bomb blasts and attacks on security force personnel in Kohima.
