The Angami Youth Organization (AYO) has expressed its dismay with the statement filled with ‘ism’ and ‘venom’ by GPRN/NSCN Lotha Region against the firm M/s. Vilelie Khamo & Sons.
AYO president Medo Yhokha and general secretary Rokoketou Sechü in a release said, the statement as made by the Lotha Region alleging the workmanship of Vilelie Khamo has no substantial content at all but only a means resorted to extract percentage/money and to assassinate and defame the character of Vilelie Khamo. AYO rued the ‘demeaning trends’ deep-rooted within the rank and files of NPGs wherein the spirit of nationalism and patriotism is replaced with extortion and threat on innocent public.
Stating that the tribalism element of the NPG is being vibrantly exposed, AYO said it would be compelled to take its own stand against divisive group/s that dismember/sectionalize the Naga society, if the statement made was executive decision and stand of the GPRN/NSCN Lotha Region.
AYO said the organization is on constant vigil track record and noted that a number of the organization’s respected citizens are often made victims with unfounded allegations. “If this tendency is not being contained and controlled, it will bear repugnant consequences to the Naga Society.”
The Organization demanded that the statement and allegation made against a ‘highly regarded’ member of the Angami be withdrawn immediately and the matter be discussed and settled on a public organization’s table for the best and well-being of the Naga Society.
It was an attempt to taint the good image: SASU
The Southern Angami Students’ Union (SASU) expressed its utter dismay on the publication by the GPRN/NSCN Lotha Region threatening to “blacklist 1st class Contractor M/S Vilelie Khamo and Sons Co.of Mima Village.
The Union president Vilboto Hibo and vice president Kekuneil Ltu in a release questioned the integrity of the GPRN /NSCN on whether it endorses such functionaries under its set-up to blatantly target rightful and abiding citizens.
“The Union and the general public are very much aware of Vilelie Khamo, a reputed contractor who has always served the people with dedication and sincerity which has been exemplified in the construction of Longtho-Liphayan Governor’s camp Road. It is very much lucid from official verification report of the govt. that the work has been completed as per specification of the Government. Besides, the company has even constructed an additional 2 km at the behest of the villagers! Thus, the question of alleging the work as “sub-standard” does not arise. Was the statement in reciprocation of the consequence in non receipt of percentage payment to the GPRN/NSCN or was it carried out solely to target and taint the good image of the M/s Vilelie Khamo and Sons Co.?”
SASU said any such false allegation on a philanthropist like Villelie Khamo, is an act of direct felony to all the people who work for the welfare and progress of the society. The Union added that the GPRN/NSCN Lotha Region has not only attempted to contaminate the good image of M/S Vilelie Khamo and Sons Co. but also shown a deliberate dejection to all the upcoming youngsters who are striving to build-up their career in the line for sincere and honest contribution to the progress and welfare of Naga Society. SASU fully supported and endorsed the statement made by the ASU and reiterated that the demands made are fulfilled.
