DIMAPUR — An awareness programme on the Prime Minister’s National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (PM-NAPS) was held at Town Hall, Phek, on October 9, with ADC Phek Thejakhrienuo Nisa as the special guest.
Addressing the participants under the theme "Learn while you earn", Nisa encouraged the participants and students to focus their efforts on both classroom and textbook learning as well as skill development for their future prospects, according to a DIPR report.
She appreciated the Department of Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship for initiating the programme aimed at the youth and students, describing them as the most promising citizens to represent the future. Nisa further urged the students and youth to take full advantage of the awareness platforms on skill development organised by the state government.
Pravin Yadav, state coordinator, NSDE, highlighted the objectives of PM-NAPS and the registration process for students and establishments on the PM-NAP portal. This was followed by an interactive session with participants, students, and officials.
