Dimapur, Oct. 14 (EMN): The Peren district administration along with District Level Centre for Women-Mahila Shakti Kendra (MSK), conducted an awareness programme on child rights under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP), at Jalukie town local Baptist church on October, 13.
Resource person of the programme, Heiriateilie, Women Welfare Officer MSK (BBBP), spoke on the importance of child rights and the eradication of discrimination faced by the girl child. She also said that the basic rights of children need to be addressed through all necessary means.
Chaired by children associate pastor Ndazeung Hingleu, the programme was attended three classes from Sunday School department, informed an update from DIPR.
