Awareness on EVM/ VVPAT underway in Kohima

Dimapur, Oct. 16 (EMN): A four-day awareness and demonstration programme on EVM/ VVPAT machines for the conduct of bye-election to the 14-Southern Angami-I assembly constituency got underway on October 14 in Kohima.

The awareness programme is being conducted in all the twenty two polling stations under five sectors of the 14-Southern Angami-I AC, a DIPR report stated on Friday.

During the programme, first time voters were briefed and introduced to the voting machines and its process by the sector officers along with district-level master trainers. The report added that the awareness programme will conclude on October 17.
