
DIMAPUR — Auto Gallery FC Dimapur defeated the Kuki Golgnai FC to lift the 2nd Autumn Cup, an open football tournament for 35+, according to an update from of Chumoukedima District Football Referee Board (CDFRB), the organiser of the event.
After a goalless first half, substitute Chuba Temjen gave Auto Gallery the lead in the 53rd minute after he was brought down “in the danger zone”, before scoring another goal in the 60th minute to seal the match, informed the update.
Earlier in the day, Guest of Honour for the finale Neidilhoutuo Neibu Sechü, vice president of Kohima District Football Association and General Secretary of Angami Youth Organisation, lauded the CDFRB for providing a platform for the 35+ and encouraged them to continue promote the game.
Meanwhile, he lamented the state not producing Olympian since Dr. T. Ao and Chekrovolü Swüro, adding that sincerity and dedication is a must to achieve one’s goal in any discipline.
