Kohima District Monitoring Committee inspects LPG outlets, finds supply reported normal and adequate.

DIMAPUR — The Kohima District Monitoring Committee for regulation and monitoring of LPG and other petroleum products, and for prevention of hoarding, black-marketing, and overpricing, conducted inspection of LPG distribution agencies and outlets across Kohima district on March 28.
According to a DIPR report, the inspection team comprised officials from the district administration, police, Food & Civil Supplies department, Kohima Municipal Council, and Legal Metrology & Consumer Protection (LMCP) department.
During the inspection, the committee observed that all LPG distribution agencies were strictly adhering to the latest guidelines issued by the Food & Civil Supplies department.
“No instances of hoarding, black-marketing, or overpricing were detected at any of the distribution outlets. The supply of LPG in the district is reported to be normal and adequate,” the report stated.

B Henok Buchem, deputy commissioner of Kohima, appealed to the general public to remain calm and not be influenced by any unverified or misleading information.
The public have been further requested to refrain from spreading false information.
“Any instances of malpractice by distributors or hoarding of LPG by individuals may be reported to the nearest police station or the district administration for necessary action,” it added.
