KOHIMA — The seventh edition of August Rush Festival, an annual festival of Richa Productions, will be held on August 15 at The Heritage, DC bungalow in Kohima with the theme 'when creativity meet skills'.
Director of Richa Productions, Dr. Teputo Richa said the event started in 2016 with the concept of promoting local entrepreneurs and local artists. The local entrepreneurs and artists have a lot of potential but they lack encouragement and platform, he said while adding that the festival will create opportunities and networking platforms for them.
He said, ‘Naga society is at a stage where we are really losing one's tradition with the influence of Korean, Japanese, western and other cultures,’ hence, the festival aims to promote Naga culture and tradition.
In this regard, Nagaland Umbrella Festival with theme 'A Naga Umbrella’, as part of August Rush, will focus on Naga culture and traditions, he said.
