KOHIMA, AUGUST 6: Richa Productions is all set to present ‘AUGUST RUSH’, an extravagant event solely dedicated to the exhibition and elevation of Art in various forms such as paintings, photography, music, dance and Cosplay on August 15, at The Heritage, Old DC Bungalow, Kohima.
In a press conference held today at Dream Café, Kohima members of Richa Productions said the main purpose of organizing is to give a common platform for the artists of the state to exhibit their talents and thereby, promote them.
Teputo Richa, Event Coordinator said its main focus is the upcoming talented artists from the state, while adding that due to lack of proper marketing and exposure they are unable to promote their talents. The members also lamented lack of radio programmes and TV channels from the state to promote our artists.
It was informed that since its inception in January 2016 Richa Productions has been trying to promote the young talented original artists through various social media like facebook, twitter, youtube and other media.
Members of the Richa Productions are Setolü Veswuh as event head, Aribah Kips, event manager, Teputo Richa, event coordinator, Echu Konyak, artists manager, Roselyn Singsit, associate director and Sweyiekhun Khatso as script writer.The members informed that there will be live coverage of the event which will be telecast episode wise in various social media. It is optimistic that local artists will get better opportunities.
Musicians lined up for AUGUST RUSH include Abiogenesis, Mengu Suokhrie, Toshimoa Jamir, Jano Nyekha, Samuel, Saronthung Kikon and Musicians Studio Guitar Quartet.
Dancers from The Dexterian girls, The Momentum and Stacks Ivories will showcase their dance moves, while freelance and fashion artists of Nagaland Street Art (freelance & fashion artists), Mhayani Kikon (freelance artist), Theja Sekhose (fashion artist), Ade Newme (freelance photographer) and Nagaland Anime Junkies (freelance artists) will be exhibiting their talents.
The show will be hosted by the very talented musician Obed Kath, the front man of the popular Christian Band ‘Divine Connection’ and actress and singer, Imnasenla Aier.
The programme will start with exhibition of various talents like photography, Cosplay etc at 11 am, while the main event of the programme will begin at 2 pm. The members informed that it is a free entry for all, and the public have been requested to come and witness the show, a first of its kind.
