Atuo Tevo retains SASA wrestling title at Kisama, as young talents shine and new executive body is installed.

KISAMA — Atuo Tevo on Friday night successfully defended his title at the 64th wrestling meet of the Southern Angami Sports Association (SASA), held at Naga Heritage Village, Kisama.
The 26-year-old from Kidima village, dominated the finals by defeating his opponents in two straight bouts. Weighing 99 kg and standing 5 feet 10 inches tall, Tevo retained his title in commanding fashion.
The champion received a cash prize of INR 80,000, along with a special award—a plot of land measuring 100×100 sq ft at Chümoukedima.
Second place went to Neithovilie Kuotsu (28), who received INR 60,000. Kekhrie Yhoshu (30) secured third place and received INR 40,000.

In the Under-15 category, Rokokheto Zutso (14) clinched the title and received INR 20,000.
Second place went to Kezhalhoulie Seletsu (14), who received INR 15,000. Theja Kipfe (14) finished third and received INR 10,000.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Kohima, Krodi Rhetso attended the opening ceremony as the inaugural guest, while Southern Angami Public Organisation (SAPO) president Tepul Hopovi attended the closing ceremony.
A new SASA executive body for the 2026–28 tenure was also installed, with Swetol Sothu as president; Zakievilie Yhoshu and Vikho-o Ngukha as vice presidents (Administration and Organisation); and Pukil Kintso as general secretary, among others.
