Sechü Zubza Football Club defeat TYO 3-1 at Kohima to book a place in the Atuo Mezhür Sekhose Super League final.

KOHIMA — Sechü Zubza Football Club (SZFC) on Tuesday booked their slot in the final after defeating Tsütuonuomia Youth Organisation (TYO) 3-1 in the ongoing 1st Atuo Mezhür Sekhose Super League – Champions Cup 2026 at Indira Gandhi (IG) Stadium, Kohima.
TYO led in the first half after Mhasilhoukho Chietsü opened the scoring in the 13th minute. However, the momentum changed after the break as Sechü Zubza FC responded, with Aneizo M Suokhrie equalising in the 52nd minute.
Pulovi Kiho scored the second goal for SZFC in the 65th minute before Vikhozoto Zhünyü struck the third goal in the 79th minute to seal a 3-1 victory for Sechü Zubza FC.
The victory takes Sechü Zubza FC into the Champions Cup final, continuing their impressive run after finishing the league stage as champions with a perfect four wins from four matches.
Deputy Commissioner of Kohima and Chairman of the District Sports Council, Kohima, B Henok Buchem attended the first semi-final match as the special guest.
The match was officiated by Kezevituo Vizo as Referee, with Imlimerenla Jamir and Medochülie Chütso as assistant referees. Mhasikhonuo Paünuo served as the Fourth Official, while Medozevi Punyü was the Match Commissioner.
Mez & Co will take on Vanguard Academy in the second semi-final, scheduled for 6 pm on Thursday, August 27.
