Medo Abel lifted the 11th Atou Memorial Open Snooker Championship 2015 after defeating John Calvin in the final match held this evening at Atou Pool House, near Old NST, Kohima.
The champion walked away with cash award of Rs. 25,000, while the runner-up received Rs. 15,000.
The losing semifinalists Akok Longchar and Tia Jamir were given cash award of Rs. 5,000 each, while Sedevituo Meyase, the player with the highest break point was also given Rs. 5,000.
The closing function was graced by Rükravolie Rülho, personal secretary to MLA Dr. Neiphrezo Keditsu. MLA Neiphrezo Keditsu, who is also the chairman of the Nagaland State Mineral Development Corporation, attended the closing function along with his family.
