Hozukhe village dominates football and volleyball events at the Ato Area Sports Association tournaments held in Nihokhu village.

DIMAPUR — The Ato Area Sports Association (AASA) conducted its 39th GBs Football Trophy, 36th Lt. Nikhekhu and Lt. Yihoto Memorial Volleyball (men and women), and 11th Lt. Shekuto Suu Memorial Badminton (men and women) tournaments at Nihokhu village from January 12 to the 15th.
Ahoto Zhimomi attended as the chief guest, and Dr. Anatoly Suu, chief medical officer (CMO), Zunheboto, as the guest of honour, stated an update.

In football, Hozukhe village emerged as the champions, while Ghokuto village finished as the first runners-up. Individual awards went to Hinoto (Hozukhe) as player of the tournament; Holloto (Toshiho) and Toka (Hozukhe) for hat-tricks; Toka (Hozukhe) as highest goal scorer; Hino (Ghokuto) as best defender; and Ghokivi (Nikhekhu) as best goalkeeper.
In men’s volleyball, Hozukhe village won the title, with Sukhato village as runners-up. Aghapu (Hozukhe) was named best spiker. In women’s volleyball, Hozukhe village claimed the champion title, followed by Sukhato village. Alokali Zhimomi (Hozukhe) was named best player.
In men’s badminton, Nihokhu village emerged as champions, with Sukhato village as runners-up. Kihika Aqomi (Sukhato) was named best player. In the women’s category, Hozukhe village won the title, and Toshiho village finished as runners-up.
