DIMAPUR — The
Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Zunheboto conducted a Within
District Farmers' Training on the Soil Health Card on Wednesday at the District
Agriculture Office, Zunheboto.
The programme was chaired by Vivitoli I, assistant
technology manager (ATM) of Ghathashi Block, who also delivered the welcome
address. This was followed by an introduction session involving all the
participants, according to a press release.
The keynote address was delivered by L Nungsang Jamir,
district agriculture officer and project director, ATMA Zunheboto. Further
introduction to the Soil Health Card, including its benefits and uses for
diverse farming practices, was briefed and explained by Vikaho Chophi, deputy
project director, ATMA Zunheboto.
The participants also visited the District Soil Testing
Laboratory under the Department of Soil and Water Conservation, Zunheboto.
Neivikhotuo, soil conservation assistant Zunheboto, explained the laboratory's
functions, processes, and equipment.
