DIMAPUR —The Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA), Tuensang, organised a farmer-scientist interaction on Tuesday at Longra village, Noksen block.

According to a press note, the interactive session covered topics such as the promotion of market-oriented agriculture (planning and management), the importance of cropping systems to enhance productivity and sustainability, integrated pest management, and livestock farming, with special emphasis on piggery production and management.

Subject experts, including Dr. Temjennungsang (ACTO, Animal Science), Samuel Sangtam (ACTO, Agro, Krishi Vigyan Kendra), and Dr. Toshimenla (DPD, ATMA), briefly highlighted these key areas.

Various field-level problems raised by the farmers were discussed in detail at the programme, and solutions were suggested by the panel of experts.

In the programme, plant protection kits, including neem oil, yellow sticky traps, and dewormers, were distributed to the participants. A total of 15 farmers attended the interactive programme.
