ATMA Tuensang inaugurates farm school on potato

Farmers and ATMA functionaries during the inauguration of farm school on potato at Ngangpong village in Tuensang district.

DIMAPUR — Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Sangsangnyu block, Tuensang, conducted demonstration and mobilisation of Food Security Group (FSG) and also inaugurated a farm school on potato at Ngangpong village on January 25.

An update informed that the concept of farm school and the role of farm school teacher were explained to the farmers by Muziselu Ringa, BTM.  

N Longkhagba, a progressive farmer who was appointed as the farm school teacher, also shared his success story and experience on potato cultivation, and demonstrated some potato cultivation practices to the farmers. 

Meanwhile, a food security group under the nomenclature ‘SHAAN FSG’ was mobilised and seed money was given through direct benefit transfer. Altogether, 19 farmers and ATMA functionaries attended the programme.
