Dimapur, Sep. 19 (EMN): ATMA Chunlikha block under Kohima district had organised an inauguration programme of farm school on pineapple at Nsunyu village on September 6.
The farm school was inaugurated by DAO and Project Director, Vizonyü Liezie, wherein he highlighted on functions of ATMA and concept of farm school.
The Project Director also gave a brief description on management and its climatic suitability of pineapple, coffee and banana plantation. He also highlighted on importance of food chain in reference to controlling of pests by birds and also advised the villagers to refrain from hunting of birds.
The programme was chaired by SDAO Tseminyu, Viwheto Thorie, while the vote of thanks was delivered by farm school teacher, Haiwalo Kath. A total of 20 participants attended the inaugural programme.
